A domain is a path or public address to access your website. One can purchase a domain for their own website from the registrars such as Godaddy & Namecheap. In general practice, there are two types of domains which are popular:

  1. TLD
  2. ccTLD

The full form of TLD is Top Level Domain & ccTLD is Country Code Top Level Domain. While there are thousands of different TLD’s available, but the most popular ones .com, org, .net, etc.

How to choose a Domain Name?

Choosing a good domain name can have a lot of benefits. There are mainly 2 types of domains name:

  1. Brandable Domain Names
  2. Generic Domain Names

While brandable names are more of brand centric names, on the other hand generic domain names are more of a keyword based & commonly used words. For example, is a brandable domain name because it’s a brand name. While on the other hand, is a generic domain name because SEO is a commonly used term.

You should keep following points in mind while choosing a domain name:

  • Domain Name should be short & sweet
  • It should be easy to remember
  • Always try to purchase TLD (Top-Level Domain)

Hosting is the server space where your website is hosted. Hosting can be of different types such:
